Using Windows Explorer

On Jun 9th I had the opportunity to teach an online class
on Windows Explorer and organizing your files.

The class was a success, so I am scheduling a class on
Excel for Jun 24th.

Depending on the demand, I may repeat these classes
every few months.

They are just a quick 1-2 hour class to show you how
to utilize the programs on your pc & make them work
for you.

Contact me if you are interested in either class or have
a request for another class.

Favorites-Awesome Program

Ever wish you had your favorites accessible no matter what computer you use? Back flip is the answer... it is a password protected site (Free) that you can save all your favorite websites to, so when you go visit Uncle Joe, you can logon to back flip & see all your favorite sites. You can make your favorites private, so no one but you see them, or you can make them public so all your friends can share. You can catogorize them as in your favorites on your tool bar.

I have been using backflip for about 6 or 7 years, and I truely love it. When I go to the library & want to go to a link I have on my favorites on my computer, I have to remember that link, which is hard as I have several hundred links saved on my computer. But all I have to do is log into backflip, pull up my favorites & there they are.

There is even a small icon you can add to your tool bar so when you have a site you want to save, click on the icon & it has been back fliped. You even get the option to rename the link so you will remember what it is for, just like on your tool bar when you add to your favorites.

If you try back filp, let me know what you think of it by adding a comment to my blog.

Web site Design

I just got a contract today for a web design job. The client has over 50 individual web sites they want designed and managed. I am so stoked. It shouldn't take too long to get the sites up and running.

With this internationally known company, I am hoping to get even more referrals. It won't be long and I will need to hire an assistant.

Bleeping computer

This group site is awesome. They answer questions about viruses, trojans, & other malware found on your computer.

They will even help you for free!!! Yes FREE!! I have used them several times when my computer was running slow, & they told me how to fix it.

You do have to run a program on your computer called hijack this, & then post the log from Hijack this to the website. Within a day or so, some one willg et back to you about what you need to do next.

They have a long list of virus protection software, and will ask you to run one or two of them depending on what they see in your log.

You do have to join (also free) but well worth it to this computer user.

This is a good product. I downloaded the trial version 7.5 & I was amazed at what it found that my other protection didnt find.

AVG also has a new spyware program (also available for free trial). I use it in conjunction with Spy bot search & destroy.

Go to www.grisoft.com to get your free 30 day trial now.
